Basic Life Support Level 1 & 2
This course will allow you to learn how to handle situations where first aid may be needed. This training will allow you to be ready for when first aid is needed and can be the difference between life and death in situations where this training will be needed.
This course was created so that in the event of an emergency you will have the correct first aid training required to take action and use your training to the best of its ability in order to save someone within these stressful situations. Within this course you will learn how to provide first aid to an unconscious casualty, learn how take action when dealing with wounds and bleeding and learn how to use cardiopulmonary methods.
COSHH Awareness
This course is designed to ensure that employees can understand and identify the different measures that are in place when it comes to working with chemicals. This course will also ensure that employees are aware of the different ways that they will be able to safely control a situation in which there is a chemical or substance spill. This course will also establish the consequence that will occur with a poor practice when working with chemicals and substances. This course will also address the different problems that are associated with the use of chemicals and substances in different types of environments. This course will also show you the different signs to look for when working with chemicals and substances to ensure that you are aware of the effect of the chemicals or substances if not contained in a safe working environment.
Dementia Awareness Level 1
This course is designed to help give a better understanding of dementia and show how to best support to someone who may be suffering with dementia.
Dementia is a common mental illness that effect 50 million people worldwide. This mental illness is more prominent in the elderly citizens of the world. This mental illness causes the patient effected to become more forgetful. This may cause some problems if you are caring for someone with dementia. This course will show how to support relations with people with dementia, help understand how to improve care that is delivered to someone with dementia and give an understanding on what it is like living with dementia.
Effective communication Level 1
During this course you will learn the importance of effective communication at work. This goal will be achieved through this course by teaching the different methods of communication and the different types of scenarios that these different types of communication may be needed. This will be achieved by teaching how to meet communication and language needs, wishes and preferences of an individual. This course will also teach you how to effectively promote the different types of communication around your working environment. You will also be enlightened within this course about the principle practice which relates to confidentiality and enforce the importance of handling information correctly.
End Of Life Care Level 1
This course will teach you the key principles of palliative care and end of life care. This is to ensure that you do nit get to attached to a patient so that you are still able to work effectively no matter the outcome of a patient that you are working with. Within this course you will also be taught the principles of a good practice within the process of advance care planning. The advance planning process is a priority within end of life care as you will want your patient to live well and pass well in the manner of their choosing. Within this course you will also obtain the knowledge of what is included in a hostile assessment which will result in planning .Which will record the wishes and also learn about the importance of good communication within end of life care.
Fire safety Level 1 and marshal level 2
Within this course you will learn about the principles of fire safety and the correct way to implement it within a working environment. This course will ensure that your working environment is safe from any fire safety risks. This course will show you the different types of fire safety risks and the correct way in which you can prevent these risks to ensure that your working environment is up to code for fire risk assessments. This course will also teach you the process of a fire risk assessment so that you can make sure that you have prepared accordingly for when the assessment takes place. This session will also establish the different precautions to enforce in the case of a fire. You will also learn about the different types of fires to ensure that you take the at most care if there is an event when you must extinguish a fire.
Food Hygiene Level 1 & 2
This course will teach you about food hygiene and how to keep yourself protected when dealing with food. This can be as simple and tying your hair back when around ovens to prevent hair catching fire due to hair products being highly flammable, wear hair nets and cleaning work surfaces. These measures are not only in place for your own protection they are also in place for food hygiene for customers. This is due to to it preventing hair from getting into food. Cleaning surfaces also prevents bacteria so that it does not build up on counters that then will go onto the food that you are preparing causing food poisoning. This course will also make you aware of the different types of bacteria that can cause food poisoning and show you the correct way to store and cook food. This will prevent food poisoning and ensure the at most food hygiene for customers. This course will also teach how food should be transported to ensure that there is no contamination with the food when being delivered to ensure that all food is safe for customer consumption.
GDPR
During this course you will be learning about the purpose of the general data protection regulation (GDPR) and the reason why GDPR is so important. This course will also show you the different ways in which you can store and organise the different types of data that your company will have to store. This will give you a better understanding on how you can keep your data safe. This course will also give a better understanding on what your company can do to comply with GDPR. This course will also establish the role of the data protection officer in the GDPR. This course will also teach your organisation about how the GDPR affects the privacy of individuals using the organisation and their data protection rights.
Infection Control Level 1 & 2
During this course you will learn about what to do when dealing with infections and how to control an infection to stop it spreading. This course will also teach you about the legal aspects of infection control which is designed to prevent, identify and control infections that have been acquired in a hospital. This course will also allow you to understand disease transmission and and how to prevent an infection outbreak. When dealing with infections it is crucial o make sure that you wash your hands, wear gloves and make sure that you clean the area that the infection started with disinfectant in order to prevent the infection spreading. When dealing with infection it is also crucial to dispose of any needles that are used into the correct sharps box in order to make sure that a clean needle is used each time that a needle is used in order to prevent infection,
Medication Awareness Level 1
This course will teach you the different types of medication that you may have to work with and the correct ways in which they should be stored. This is important as it ensures that the staff that are dealing with medication are aware of the different effects that the medication may have on a patient in their care. This will also give insight on the different drug errors that may occur and show how the drug errore can be avoided. This course will also go through the different doses that are given to a patient with the different types of medication ensuring that when the patient is given medication they are not given and under or over dosage. Within this course you will also learn about the correct ways in which medication should be disposed such as putting needles in a needle bin.
Mental Capacity Act & DOLS Level 1
This course will teach you how to understand some of the most common mental health problems within the UK. This will allow you to have a better awareness of what some people may be dealing with mentally and show you ways in which you can help someone who may be suffering with mental health problems. This course will also allow you to have a better understanding of the different types of mental health problems. This course will also give you an insight into the principle of parity of esteem in relation to mental health. This course will als tahc you where to find additional information and support for anyone who may suffer from mental health problems. This course also offers the understanding of how people working within the health and social care industry can improve their interaction with people who may have mental health issues.
Manual Handling Level 1 & 2
Within this course show you the correct way in which you should use manual handling and the correct techniques to use when you are manual handling. This is to ensure that risk is reduced for both staff members that are doing the manual handling and the service user when performing the manual handling techniques within the workplace. This course will also highlight some of the bad techniques in practice and condemned moves. This course also aims to educate about the associated legislations and regulations surrounding safer people moving and handling.
Nutrition & Fluids Level 1
Within this course you will learn the principles of hydration, nutrition and food safety within a working environment. This course will also Support individuals in order for them to have access to fluids in accordance with their care plan. This is important as it ensures that individuals have got the correct nutrition and allows them to follow the health guidelines in association with the correct amount of fluids that should be consumed on a daily basis. This course also ensures that individuals have got access to the correct food within their care plan to ensure that they are consuming the correct amount of nutrition.
Person Centred Care Level 1
This course was created to delegate awareness of the importance of person centred care. This will give yourselves a better understanding of the importance of good communication. The knowledge that will be gained within this course will allow yourself to improve the care that is delivered to ensure that the person centred care is carried out in a professional manner with the best care.
Personal & Pressure Care Level 1
This course will allow yourself to understand the role of the carer when toileting a service user. In doing so it will teach you how to correctly proceed to act in different situations regarding the type of personal and pressure care that you are giving an individual. This includes learning about incontinence and learning the correct manner to which it can be controlled. This course will also teach the importance of personal hygiene and procedures. This will ensure the safety of the person who may be getting personal and pressure care as it will limit the possibility of harmful bacterias getting into the individual’s house. The teachings of this course will also educate on pressure sores and what measures can be put in place to try and prevent them from happening.
Prevention Of Falls Level 1
Within this course you will be educated on what is meant by falls in the workplace. In doing so it will give you more insight into the costs associated with falls within the workplace. This course will also teach you about the different methods of fall management and prevention to ensure that your workplace is as safe as possible. The teachings of this course will also educate you on the key legislation relating to falls in the workplace. If there ever was an unfortunate event involving a fall within the workspace this course will teach about the procedures of hazard analysis and risk assessments that take place in relation to the fall
Safeguarding Adults At Risk Level 1 & 2
Within this course you will allow you to understand what is meant by the term ‘vulnerable adult.’ It is extremely important to know the different forms of abuse may take such as mental and physical. The understanding of the different forms of abuse will make it easier to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse. In a case that you do recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse it is important to know what to do and what not to do which this course offers. This course also teaches about the legislation and guidance concerning safeguarding adults at risk.
Safeguarding Children Level 1
Within this course you will learn how to ensure that children that are under your care are kept safe. This will be achieved by teaching the correct indicators regarding abuse, neglect and other forms of maltreatment. In doing so this will allow you to ensure that you are aware of these indications to ensure that the children under your care are safe and cared for in a proper manner. Understanding Your Role, Personal Development & Duty Of Care Level 1
Within this course you will be taught about your role within a health and social care environment and allow yourself to understand what your own role is within the working environment that you are in. With this information it allows you to ensure that you are working in ways that have been agreed with your employer. This will give you an insight on how your duty of care contributes to safe practice.
